Life journey of an introvert

Nothing to blog about

*yawn*... time to sleep. Another day of work tomorrow.

Managed to catch a bit of American Idol just now. Overall their performances weren't good as most of them didn't perform well. Even the idol favourite Katherine Mcphee didn't sing well because of choosing a wrong song. Anyway, results will be out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Good nite everybody!

*Currently playing : Various Artists - We are the world*

We are the world, we are the children.
We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving
There's a choice we making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me.

Went back to JB last week. Twas a good experience spending time with my family and enjoying my off days. How good it is to relax at home. ahh...

Had a lunch with my junior schoolmate at Pizza hut last Saturday. It was a nice catching up session with her as she will be going back to KL soon for her 3rd year medic course at UKM. What can I say that she's a very bright and obedient person. Despite that medicine was not her first course (it wasn't her choice at all), but because of her parents dream she decided to give up her full scholarship in National University of Singapore. I hope she could adapt well in her training at Hospital UKM.

Last Sunday me and my close mates went to this French bistro near the town area. Just thought of having a hang out session since we haven't been together for quite a while. We truly enjoyed our moment with wines, desserts and the ambience at the bistro. If some of you are staying in JB or even Singapore, this place is strong recommended for french cuisine and wine tasting.

This morning I was listening to the my favourite radio station. The DJ was saying that way back in 1986 of this very day, over 6000 radio stations in the world played the same song at the same time (10pm EST GMT -5). This song is entitled "We are the world", a very famous song even until this day, written to raise money for Africa and sang by various artists. What a moment.

I also heard it from the radio too. Maybe some of you might know what's the answer for the question below. Honestly speaking, I really don't know the answer. I don't think there is an answer!!

Glenn : Someone who is addicted to work is Workaholic, right?
FD : Yes...
Glenn : Someone who is addicted to alcohol is Alcoholic, right?
FD : Uh huh...
Glenn: Then someone who is addicted to horlick should be known as what?
FD : Hmm... *eyes rolling*

Cheers mates!!

Ahh... so full now. Guess what I'd made for my dinner today?

No, I didn't buy it outside. Yes, I made it myself with some minor changes such as sausages for the meat and sauce which consists of white wine and cream, and toss up with a bit Italian parsley.

These few days I've been cooking for my dinner, wondering where did my cooking mood came from? Was it part of the highly anticipated dinner which I will be preparing for my friends next month, or I'm just sick of the same hawker food that I always have it for the past 10 months? Anyway I'm excited that I'm back into my cooking mood. Think I'm gonna start controlling my expenses coz been spending a lot this month. Things like Sennheiser HD485, Mosaic Music Festival, flight ticket to KL next month and etc. Oh my, I'm broke!!!

I'm off on weekends again. Woohoo!! Thinking of going back to JB and meet up with my best mates. Plan to visit this place for a drink too.

I had a dream last night, it's about this World Debating Championship in which India emerged as the Champions!! Why India? Hey, how would I know?? It was just a dream... or maybe I had this thought before, that I reckon Indians generally are good debaters. Hmm.. *right eyebrow rose up emoticon*

I think I'm gonna do another pasta tomrorow. Maybe different type of sauce. Perhaps a Spaghetti Puttanesca.

Plan to catch this movie tomorrow night. Singapore box office No.1 for this week. Hopefully it's a good one.

A picture to end this post.

Isn't she lovely? *grin*

Steak Diane

Guess what I've made for my dinner today..

Yes, the famous classic French cuisine. Finally I got to make it for the first time ever, including the making of the creamy sauce.

I'm pretty satisfied with the sauce, just that I overcooked the meat which it turned out to be quite tough. Mission failed.. sigh... It's time for me to brush up my steak grilling skill before presenting this main course to my close buddies (and their friends) next month.

Can I make it a perfect one this time round?

Be Still My Soul

Be still my soul
Be still my soul
Cease from the labor and the toil
Refreshing springs of peace wait
To troubled minds and hearts that ache

Be still my soul
God knows your way
And He will guide
For His name's sake
Plunge in the rivers of His grace
Rest in the arms of His embrace

Be still my soul
Be still my soul
Though battles round you rage and roar
One thing you need and nothing more
To hear the whisper of your Lord

Be still my child
I know your way
And I will guide
For my name's sake
Plunge in the rivers of My grace
Rest in the arms of My embrace
