Life journey of an introvert

Take My Life

Stumbled upon this song whilst playing my buddy's Taylor 514ce. Nice melody and blends well in devotion, so thought of posting out the lyrics. This song is written by Third Day.

Take My Life

How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the sand on the shore
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You do it once more

Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
to give it away to You Jesus

How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the stars in the sky
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You do it tonight

Lord, even if I journey through a period of brokenness, I want You to know my life belongs to You. Amen.

Do you feel persistently sad or “empty” mood? Do you have the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness? Have you lost your interest in hobbies and activities? Have you lost your appetite, experience early-morning awakening or oversleeping? Has your energy decreased tremendously? Do you have thoughts of death or suicide, suicide attempts? Have you exhibit these symptoms lately? If you are, then you might have signs of traces of Depression.

Some people might think depression is something that can be cured easily. Well, in most cases it is curable through medication and counseling until he/she is freed from it, but there are some other cases where treatments can be done to a certain extent, the rest is up to individual’s will power to minimize the chances of creeping out again. In other words, these individuals pertains deep depression level which has been developed for some time without them knowing it. This is the ultimate key point. It is an internal “stress state”; a “silent killer”. Worst case it could bring fatality. It is that serious.

A friend of mine discovered this problem when he was 4 years old, until it hit the worst level about 3 years ago, then found out that his depression level had grown so deeply that he nearly committed suicide, and during his recovering period he had a hard time trying to fight against it. But I’m glad that he had fought a real tough battle and stand above it. I wouldn’t say he has 100 percent freed from it, but at least he knows how to prepare himself when it starts creeping over him again.

That is why Singapore government is aware of this internal illness that has been developed among the society, the health ministry board started a campaign called Treat Depression Early to bring awareness to residents and start taking actions against it. Right now they are inviting people who are recovering from it to share their own stories, in order to reach out and to encourage those who are experiencing these signs and symptoms.

Don’t hesitate to seek help before it’s too late.

Surprise of the day

Recieved a surprise text message from a friend whom I have lost touch with her for quite a while. She's asking me out for a dinner tomorrow. *blink blink* Well, we used to be close friends before until we both further our studies in difference places. Guess I really have to do some catching up with her, getting updates about her rumourly spread 'boyfriend'.

Am dwelling this myth in my mind now. I wonder why a group of people going out for a meal, in the end the entire meal will be paid by one person instead of sharing out the cost? Is that a sign of manner, being a generous person or prove that one is able to do so because everybody does?? *scratching my chin*

November - A Good Start??

Seems like everything to me has been going smoothly since the start of a new month. Welcome November, goodbye October.

Some of you might not know, daylight saving time in US has ended. Yup, fall has arrived and it's time to say goodbye to DST. With DST ended, their time will be fall back 1 hour earlier. For instance, during DST New York is 12 hours difference with Singapore. Now it's 13. I know you guys think that it's totally unrelated to residence in Singapore, but it's very curcial thing to me, meaning that I will need to adjust some of the my work processes. Time is very important.

Besides need to work on public holidays (I've worked on Deepavali and Hari Raya), good thing is that my last 2 days performance has been pretty good, with both days achieving the same record number of calls handled, and also achieved tha required target set by the management. And thus hopefully more bonus by the end of the year. lol

Yesterday went out for a dinner feast at a Teochew restaurant located at Concourse. It was my aunt's 60th birthday. The food was good and quite affordable. Now she's officially a senior citizen in S'pore, with many benefits awaiting for her to enjoy. Happy belated birthday, 3rd aunt!

My brother is on the way to Singapore today. He's planning to purchase a acoustic guitar, so I'm gonna bring him to Sinamex to test out the Timothy S10J guitar which I've talked about it before. Taylor 2005 Fall Limiteds are out in stores now. Hopefully Sinamex got some of the Limiteds that I can try it out. Can't wait to test out the 414ce-L10 and 814ce-L10.

When can I own a Taylor?
