Goodbye 2006, see you never again. Hello 2007, what's new this time?So what were the major things that had happened to me in year 2006? Let's see.
May 2006 : My contract with Siemens expired on the 23rd May. Despite my manager's high hope on me to renew my contract, increased salary for a better "career prospect", in the end I didn't renew. Decided to move on to another career path, something that clicks to my interest.
August 2006 : After several months of job hunting, finally found one which I felt this could be "the path" that my new journey should be embarked. Since then, things went fine and smooth. It seems like a long journey with many discovery to be undiscovered. I'm thrilled and excited to have made this choice at the moment. Well, we never know what's going to happen in a few years time.
Just a few weeks ago before ushering the new year, guess what happened?
Mid Dec 2006 : Government announced toll rise in five expressways. Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) was one of them which I use it to travel to work. From RM1 to RM1.60, which means I have to fork out another RM50 to make it a total of RM130 monthly just to travel to office. And that is almost 10% of my pay! I wonder how many people like me would be heavily affected by this. Rebate as a possible next move?
End of Dec 2006 : Internet down?! You people should know what had happened. Broadband users were having a miserable time trying to surf the web, not to mention hardcore bloggers and impatient online-gamers. They must be praying desperately, hoping that the internet speed can be restored asap. Maybe we should learn about "Patience is a virtue"?
